We had so many requests for this recipe when it appeared on our Facebook so here's the recipe for homemade seed crackers. It's super simple and all the ingredients can be purchased at your local bulk bin store. Quantities are interchangable so play around with the ingredients and add some herbs and spices for an endless variety of flavours.
Make sure you use a silicon baking mat or reusable baking paper for this one - they really stick to the pan!
100g sunflower seeds
30g pumpkin seeds
30g chia seeds
50g sesame seeds
8g psyllium husk
pinch of salt
pinch of paprika
Mix all ingredients together and add 1 cup of water. Let stand for 10 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Spread as thinly as you can onto a baking tray and bake at 145 degrees fanbake for 1 hour - keep a close eye on them towards the end.
Remove from the oven and cut lightly into your desired cracker size.
Bake a further 30 minutes, turn oven off and leave them in the oven for an extra hour to further dry.
Store in an airtight container once completely cooled. Enjoy!
